The Beginning

Hana Suhaimi Interior Design (HSID) began quietly in August 2016, with Hana Suhaimi working alone. It started with just an idea, a passion for design, and the determination to make something meaningful. In those early days, the work was simple: design consultations, long conversations, and sketches shared across café tables around town. It was humble, but it was honest.

As the journey unfolded, Hana partnered with someone to grow the business. For a time, it worked. But as years passed, the partnership no longer reflected the values she believed in. It was a difficult period, one that called for courage. Choosing to start again was not easy, but it was necessary.

HSID was re-established with a new foundation. This time alongside her husband, Asyraf. Hana leads the creative vision, while Asyraf brings strength to the construction side. Together, they built more than a business; they built balance. From this partnership, HSID naturally evolved into a design-and-build studio, while still staying true to its roots by offering design consultation projects when the opportunity felt right.

Along the way, they found trust in others: craftsmen, carpenters, suppliers, and site workers who shared the same commitment to quality. These relationships became the backbone of their growing network.

What started as a two-person team meeting clients in cafés slowly transformed. Today, HSID is home to a team of designers working side by side in a studio space they designed themselves in Glenmarie, Shah Alam, a reflection of how far they’ve come.

From its modest beginnings, HSID has grown into a multidisciplinary studio, offering architecture, interior design, and project management services. But at its core, the spirit remains the same: grounded, sincere, and always built on the belief that good design begins with genuine human connection.

The Philosophy

Design with Purpose

When it comes to interior design, we particularly resonates with the ‘Why’s - why the space is planned the way it is, why the design of joinery is the way it is, and the list of Why continues on.

A space should be both livable and comfortable, not only physically, but also visually, psychologically and emotionally for its occupants, regardless of its size.

A space should also reflect the lifestyle of its occupants and should not devoid of personal character touch.

Design that Transforms Living

We believe that good design has the power to influence our daily rhythms and human interactions.

The way a space is arranged can quietly encourage better habits, bring clarity to routines, and create a sense of calm that carries through the day.

From the moment you wake to the time you wind down, a well-designed environment can uplift your mood, support your well-being, and make even the simplest moments feel more intentional.

The Mission & The Vision

Our Mission

Our mission is to create a livable yet comfortable space while maintaining a keen eye in aesthetics, solving problems, and helping our clients to meet their spatial requirements.

Justice to the Maximum Potential of Space: We believe that each space in a project deserves a well-thought spatial planning and design process to reach its full potential.

Our Vision

We dearly hold onto our lifelong goal and vision of spreading awareness and extending knowledge to our society to help them expanding their minds that interior design is not merely about carpentry and storage alone.
